2 c. sifted cake flour 1/3 c. butter or margarine
2 tsp. baking powder 3/4 c. milk
3/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar 1 egg
Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl. Add butter and milk. Stir just until flour is dampened. Then beat 2 minutes with mixer. Add egg and vanilla and beat 1 minute longer.
Bake in two 8" layer pans at 350 deg. for 25-30 minutes.
Spread Strawberry Fluff Frosting between layers and on top and sides of cake.
