Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and molasses and beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add. Stir in coconut and pecans. Shape into balls the size of <u>small</u> walnuts. Line cookie sheet with foil and grease lightly.

Bake about 2" apart at 375 deg. for 9-10 minutes, until lightly browned. Do not overbake.
