Sally Lunn's Muffins

1/4 c. shortening or margarine       2 c. sifted flour
1/3 c. sugar                                  6 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs                                          1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Bake in well-greased 8x8" pan. For Golden Muffins, bake in well-greased muffin tins.

Bake at 450 deg. for 15 minutes, until golden brown.
