Cream Scones

2 c. sifted flour                              2 eggs
5 tsp. baking powder                      2/3 c. cream, medium heavy
1/4 c. shortening or margarine        1/2 tsp. salt

Sift dry ingredients into bowl. Cut in shortening. Combine eggs, cream and salt, and add to mixture. Roll 3/4" thick on floured board. Cut into 3" squares, then cut each square into triangles. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 450 deg. for 20 minutes.

Note:  If using a dark cookie sheet, line cookie sheet with aluminum foil, then grease the foil.
