2 eggs 1/3 c. chopped walnuts
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light brown sugar 2 tbsp. butter or margarine
1/4 c. light brown sugar
3/4 c. sifted flour 1-1/2 tbsp. cream
1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/3 c. chopped walnuts
1/4 tsp. salt
Beat just until blended the eggs, sugar and brown sugar. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt. Stir into first mixture. Add the first 1/3 c. nuts.
Bake at 350 deg. for 25 minutes (may need 5-10 minutes more) in 8x8" pan.
Mix together the last group of ingredients: butter, brown sugar, cream and nuts. Spread immediately all over top of hot cake as soon as it comes from oven. Put under broiler for 1-3 minutes until topping bubbles. Cut while warm into squares.
