Hot Mulled Cider

1 gallon apple cider                      4 pieces stick cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt                                  1 tbsp. whole cloves
1/2 c. brown sugar                       1 tbsp. allspice
2 lemons, sliced

Mix cider, sugar and salt. Place spices in cheesecloth and put into cider. Heat, let simmer 20 minutes. Pour in punch bowl and add lemon slices. Serve hot.
